Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs’ premier recognition program, a signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders. Each Club nominates a high school member annually to compete to represent our organization as the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation Youth of the Year, and to compete at the State level and possibly beyond.
Jadyn, NE Lake Club
We’re thrilled to announce that Jadyn Bowers of our Northeast Lake Branch has been named this year’s Youth of the Year, to represent the thousands of youth we serve in our 36 Clubs. “Jadyn is an absolute powerhouse of energy and devotion to being the best,” said Ruffin Rhodes, Principal of Rhodes + Brito Architects and one of the competition’s judges. “I loved her energy, confidence, and commitment to success.”
A Eustis High School junior with a 4.6 GPA, Jadyn is an aspiring pre-med student with the goal to become a rheumatologist. Her academic prowess is rivaled by her extracurricular achievements: her softball team won the state championships, and she’s headed to the state competition in weightlifting, while juggling an honors course load and working part-time at Chick-Fil-A.
